Just updated to MyBB 1.8.13

The latest version of MyBB was recently released, and I thought it would be brainy to make sure that we're running the latest version of the software. Installing the latest patch requires some disruption and downtime, so I decided to take care of the upgrade before the new forums are officially launched.

As usual, let me know if anything broke during the update.

I made quite a few small changes to things here and there so here's hoping not much got broken.

- The text on the mail button up the top should only show how many unread messages you have. I can probably fix that. Not sure what else is broken but I did make some changes that've probably been overridden.

- The breadcrumbs up the top shouldn't show what forum group you're in.

Edit: I've fixed these two issues. If I come across anything else I'll let you know. 

- Also Quick Edit doesn't seem to want to work.

- There's some unnecessary padding at the top of the forum, not sure why that's there.

Thanks for the speedy fix, especially the mail/notifications oddity.

Forum software updates won't be a common thing, but sometimes they will change the board layout or break features.

On some posts, I'm having trouble clicking the "full edit" option when trying to edit a post. Anyone else getting this?

I've analyzed a bunch of different templates, and I've done a bunch of searches on the MyBB forums, but I haven't had any luck trying to track down this problem.

I can't use Full Edit on my own posts, but I can use Full Edit on other people's posts if I position the cursor in just the right place. I wonder if it's really a CSS issue.

I've noticed that it doesn't seem to work on phpBB, either. Odd. I wonder if there's some browser-side script tomfoolery.

I did a lot of searching, and no one could provide a solid answer to the Mysterious Broken Full Edit button. It seems to be one of those weird things that often fixes itself - and this forum is one where said problem (thankfully) vanished.
