• when i first joined and various guys named after mega man robot masters immediately came after me and our argument was "nuh uh you need to get out of your box" over and over
  
• when i made an "engine test" of a mario fangame which glitched and constantly played the shine get noise from super mario sunshine on top of itself until it got loud and distorted like an MLG meme video
  
• when i turned into a dragon-man and called everybody pathetic humans and doc wario did mspaint comics making fun of me
  • wait s*** i'm still a dragon-man

• every time thunder dragon posted and everybody acted like god had descended to earth for a day to grace the mortals
  
• when i finally got banned and waited a few weeks and then came back as Baroque and nobody knew

• when the first wave of people stealing folks' artwork and intentionally editing out the signatures (which is still widely done today) hit and I didn't understand exactly what was happening but talked like I did and Klobber who was never mad at anybody in his life got really f***ing angry at me
  
• when Mugenmidget phished everybody's accounts and I might have slightly helped and I told Shadowman it was him and a few hours later Mugen signed onto AIM and messaged me "You RAT! See if I EVER trust you AGAIN! HMMMMMMMMMMMMMPH!!!"
  
• "i am kritter. get the hell out of my house." and the general fad over the weird flash comic maker used to do that
  
• when the board suffered drama because Shadowman added an optional board skin that had zero effect on anybody who didn't use it
  
• When "Yoshi Tennis" was submitted to the site but the filename was yoshitennis.zip so it was censored to yo****ennis.zip and nobody could download it
  
• When Charles Martinet visited MFGG and nobody believed it was him and sent him shock images and trolled him

I'm not sure where to begin but hoo boy I have some things to go through.

• Being able to speak to @VinnyVideo about my forum ban about a month(?) earlier than it let up and calmly get it lifted.
  • which, mind you, was a YEAR-LONG ban. i got 100% on the forum warning system during the phpBB era.
    
• Finding the MFGG Discord server for the first time and actually spending time with the community...
  • ...despite being as obnoxious as I was on the forums and causing even more trouble. ouch.
    
• Attempting to start a comic thread that ended horribly. Read at your own risk.
  
• Winning a Happy Heart badge without even knowing.
  
• Being able to learn how to make sprite-based art/pixel art and use it for many different projects
  • namely textures i upload to Roblox but that's beside the point
    
  • also using that skill to make art for a YouTube "album" where it's based on retro video games
    
• Believing that people spoke about me badly while I was banned even if (hopefully) none of it ever happened
  
• Playing UNO in the old MFGG IRC chat. now THAT was fun.
  • ...even if i was kicked out multiple times due to bad behavior.
    
• Complaining that a sprite couldn't be entered into a drawing competition. That was my fault entirely.
  
• I hate to say this, but: Using alt accounts to bypass bans, even if I did it just to apologize to the users.
  
• Being in Hotel Delfino, a sort-of "unofficial" MFGG Discord server if I recall correctly
  • also being able to draw a mascot for it even though it never caught on
    
• Having the guts to admit a secret in the Childhood Crush thread that I ultimately never wanted to reveal as much until then
  
• Having the username KirbyLover2048 for so long and never really wanting to change it
  • despite that i still decided to change it semi-recently, but who knows? i might change it back someday.
    
• Starting a name fad in Club Saturn EX at one point
  
• Being named Best Newcomer one time in 2015 (even if i was incorrectly named as KirbyLover45)
  • i never even knew until i checked the wiki, lol
    
• Being able to share my fascination with the Mario series and be more thorough with my main trio of fan-characters. (here and here)
  • even though the second link leads to an Undertale fan-character I still consider them part of the trio due to lore/roleplay-based reasons
    • i'll make a fully-connected story someday. hopefully.
      
• Realizing that Dudim in the Family exists and loving it very much
  
• Making my own parody of Dudim in the Family (currently)
  
• Wishing I could talk to main site user AwesomeZack after his "disappearance"
  
• Playing some of the Charisma games by Vitiman and also loving those
  

That's probably it for now. I may be missing some "memories", but I've been through a LOT in the past few years of being on MFGG.

In chronological order I suppose:

• I built a game using Hello's engine and people liked it at that time for the modifications I did to it. @Mr. Yoshbert was the first user who replied to my first post at MFGG. This is around mid 2008.
  
• Evil Furbies!!!
  
• I attempt to make a Mario Engine, it didn't went off well
  
• OniLink++ contacted me and other MFGGers to make a game: Super Mario Emissary or something, we never got far and eventually we went our separate ways in early 2009 or so.
  
• I was depressed during my tough year in high school and rant about why am I ignored. I posted a topic about it and boy that went off "well".
  
• I made my own poor quality forums with IPBFree hoping to gain a fanbase. I admit that my younger seld was hungry for attention.
  
• I started helping around with other MFGGers with their game projects. I remembered GoombaDave contacted me to help him around with his Random Levels project.
  
• I got warnned for pointlessly bumping Mushroom Kingdom Fusion (it was known as Super Mario Fusion when I first discovered it) topic.
  
• Got into 2nd place with the first minigame competition I joined: Boss Battles. The goal of the game is to defeat the furby boss as Luigi.
  
• DJ Yoshiman liked my Highway Trouble game
  
• I was part of the Super Mario All Stars (aka All Stars Attack) with Mikeystar, Strike Forcer, Neweegee, Camtendo, Karate Cat, Buzz N Ben, and others I forget.
  
• Winning my first MFGG Awards for my Highway Trouble game
  
• Unaware of what's happening with MFGG during the time of the split, I went inactive but I was still making Highway Trouble.
  
• I came back to MFGG around 2011 and won my first minigame competition: 2 keys only. It's a side scrolling shooter game.
  
• @"Nite Shadow" was the first MFGGer who contacted me via IM. We were using AIM at that time.

• I made my own SMW engine. To be honest, I was initially proud of it since I was among the first few who made working cape powerup and jumpthrough slopes

• My idiot younger self wanted to be a staff. I was bugging VinnyVideo and other staffs about it since 2013 or earlier. I forget.
  
• *Maxence and many of their dupes showed up and started to show off vaporware. And I accused them stealing my works. They were perma banned later on.
  
• After seeing BieberSoft made a game for mobile phones caller Super Awesome Land (he also made AVGN the game), I started to make my own mobile game.
  
• One of my game, Cops, was originally made for a minigame competition (GameBoy Color limitations). Eventually I expanded it for mobile and the game became popular for Windows Phone until Microsoft killed off Windows Phone.
  
• I tried to bribe DJ Coco with leberkäse, to become a staff. Yeah, that sure went off well.
  
• QwertyTriple6 had a car accident and lost an arm. I feel sad but I applaud their strong will.
  
• I met a MFGGer in real life: GoombaDave
  
• I got banned from MFGG IRC because I said "Doobie Brothers".
  
• I had a small drama while I was working on Turd Feast 4. And at the time I was sent to a mental hospital due to suicidal tendencies in 2016.
  
• I had a lot of fun at Club Saturn, at the time ot is known as the unofficial MFGG Discord server
  
• VinnyVideo promoted me to Tech Admin, I was pretty excited at the time to work on MyBB themes.

Let's see now.

I used to be good friends with Miaxis, who I think almost nobody remembers but she has a Wiki page for some reason. She added me on MSN (H) because we kept spamming the same "post last and you win" thread at Nicholas Ainsworth's forum. She then introduced me to Coco, which is a decision that'd fit right into a "top 10 moments before disaster" YouTube compilation. She eventually broke the friendship with both of us when she thought we were jealous of her new boyfriend or something. It wasn't a total shock because we did lose touch over the years, but it still kinda hurt to lose a seven year long friendship like that.

Speaking of, MSN was so great. The nudges and large dumb videos and MSN+ even adding in sounds made annoying your friends so much fun.

I think I remember that Mugenmidget thing, it was something like a link in his signature that linked to a fake log-in form? I didn't fall for it but I saw the panic.

I remember the Great Mistake in great detail though because I was there as the forums blew up and turned into All About Beards and everybody got Meatball names. It was pretty hilarious in hindsight and I always thought the reaction to Jas was severely overblown but what are you gonna do I guess.

I met up with Coco like a year ago. We played a whole bunch of games like Mario Party 2, Sonic 06, the recently released Octo Expansion and we beat Tropical Freeze together. Tropical Freeze is great. For 06 I gave up around Crisis City because the level design became too unstable to enjoy. I told Coco to turn off Bonus Stars in MP2 because they're incredibly unbalanced, he didn't and then I won even though I was in third place because I got the most coins and got all the bonus stars as a result and then he shut off the game. Then the next round he won and I shut off the game. We also tried MP10 right after having played 2 and it was an awful experience. We also walked a lot, hiked and played some pool. I play better when I'm drunk but I'm still not very good at it. Leberkase tastes just like hot dog so I don't understand the hype.

my memory is awful, so most of the early days on MFGG are kinda a blur to me. I mostly remember causing a lot of issues when I first joined in 2007 because I would just say controversial things for the sake of it ... that was kinda fun lol.

I also remember starting up this cute little group project to remake OoT in 2D (Which was a popular concept at the time) ... I was too young and didn't know how to lead a team so the project kinda fizzled out. but it was a pretty sizeable team if I recall correctly. I still keep in contact with some of the people who worked on it today, so I would say it was still a success. for example, me and onilink++ still talk sometimes. I also talked with dex for quite a while after that (he kinda fell off the internet though); dex was actually a major reason I got into indie game development because he introduced me to TIGsource.

even though I can't remember every little detail I know I had a good time, I mean I wouldn't have come back if I didn't! in fact I think it's kinda funny that we had this influx of old members returning because I was thinking about how much I missed the mfgg community like a day before it actually happened.

All things said and done though, I still bought A Hat in Time and I enjoyed it very much, so... yeah.

That's just scratching the surface, isn't it?

The whole Charles Martinet thing was when somebody claiming to be Charles showed up on MFGG and he got chased off with flames and trolling and whatnot. From what I heard it was the real guy confirmed by staff, but honestly that whole thing is still shrouded in mystery so I'm not very sure how truthful that is.
