a lil question about coins in the MFGG forums

Where do i spend coins for cosmetics in the MFGG forums? (i hope i worded this correctly...)

I don't think there's anything to spend coins on. They're just ... there. I think they're just used as an indicator of how active you are on the forums.

Sometimes I'm so focused on being nice I forget to be good.

When this incarnation of the MFGG forums opened in late 2017, coins were introduced with the idea that they could be earned in a myriad of ways (not just making posts/threads) and that they could be spent on cool rewards.

Well, that never came to pass. I see the coins as an unfortunate metaphor for how the MFGG forums had increasingly diminishing potential - yet, in spite of the waning popularity in its later years, still tried to do new things to entice the community to have fun. But all the half-measures kinda just kept petering out.

So no, the coins don't do anything. They just sit there and accumulate.
