I noticed that sometimes there are avatar images that are really big. It would be nice if they were automatically resized to a smaller size. That way, they don't disrupt the layout.

In addition to layout issues, some avatars are a really high resolution for no good reason. It would be very helpful if there was a way to automatically downscale avatars that are really big, so that the page loads quicker. Plus, it will help prevent my browsers cache from ballooning in size.

As funny as it may look, I seriously do agree with littlelum on this.

The CSS should automatically adjust oversized avatars.

If you upload an avatar for us to host, there's a size limitation defined in the Admin Control Panel.

I haven't tested this thoroughly, but I think problems sometimes arise when people use a script for dynamically generating avatars. This might work fine if the FancyBox plugin wasn't enabled.

If I got all the time in my hands I could help out. But yeah, probably has to do with the responsive CSS I wrote years ago. I think a better solution is to create a parent div container with a fixed size to contain the avatar.
