This is coming from someone who (maybe have seen the system at a friend's house or videogame shop) but I have never actually played a Virtual Boy before.

Have you, or do you own a Virtual Boy?

Although I've never used the hardware, I've played some its games on Wii and 3DS emulators. (I've heard that the 3DS is the best way to play them, it looks really good!) VB Wario Land is really fun, one of my favorites in the series. There's also a really impressive fan made version of Street Fighter 2 on there as well (if only I didn't suck at the game). There's also Bound High, an unreleased game where you are a bouncy ball and you have to bounce on things. It makes really good use of the 3D. Mario Tennis is fine, although if you don't use 3D then it is nearly impossible to tell where the ball is.

I've never owned a Virtual Boy or even played a real system before. I remember seeing them in stores when they were new, though.
Course clear! You got a card.

I absolutely do not remember these being sold as a kid, in store or out. I can barely even remember SNES games being sold in store, let alone N64 games. Cartridge games. More so N64 games, the playable televisions at K-Mart and Target.

I do have slight recollection of being in my friend's basement and seeing a Virtual Boy. I don't know if this is real or not. I don't know anybody who had a Virtual Boy.

@littlelum And that's very good information, I will keep this in mind Smile

I don't, mainly because I've literally never seen one in a thrift store before (not to mention Virtual Boys (as well as certain games I would play on it like Virtual Boy Wario Land) are expensive as hell nowadays), but I've played a few Virtual Boy games on my 3DS. It's a shame Nintendo never rereleased the Virtual Boy's library through the 3DS' Virtual Console, it would've been a perfect opportunity to do so since the 3DS had the 3D effect (the Virtual Boy had stereoscopic 3D). But hey, at least they rereleased 'em on the Switch 2... even though it requires a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership...

I never had a Virtual Boy, especially here in Brazil which it was too rare and expensive (and still is today). Now I have a question to ask for you, what would you change to make the Virtual Boy more well-received?

For me I would change the red display to white (or green, or even amber), and to have the possibility to use it without attaching to the head (perhaps converting it to a handheld).
