Poll: Galxyy 1 or 2?

Personally, I like the second one better. It may have been that I played that one first, but it has more stuff like comet medals, Yoshi more galaxies.

I prefer the storyline and characters in the first, but I like the second better because of the gameplay.

Haven't played either of them but I want them so badly.

Like, everybody keeps saying these are the best Mario games ever. Is that true?

That's a matter of taste, but they're definitely very good games. I prefer Mario Sunshine over the Galaxy games, but I'm in the minority on that (and I think I remember you saying it's hard to find gamecube games at an affordable price where you live). If you're going to get any Mario game for the Wii, I'd say go for Galaxy.

I dunno if I would say they're the best Mario games ever, but they're certainly wonderful examples of just how fun Mario can be.

I would probably say the second game is better. It just has much better gameplay, better level design, more variety, and trims pretty much all the fat away. Yes, one can argue that this is at the cost of the story, but I don't really think they could've reasonably continued "storytime with Rosalina" very well at all. It's not that I didn't like it, I just didn't feel like it needed a continuation. And yeah, no Observatory exploration, but the Observatory was kind of a dull place to explore anyway so I don't really care! I just wanna get to the levels, man, and Galaxy 2 does that.

Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.
