Yes, but that's why players are encouraged to come up with good question that are hard to google.

This does seem like something that would be better suited to an instant messaging chatroom or something, more like a real game show.

I meant something along the lines of setting a date and time for a short real time quiz might work better, so you and the players would only have to be online for a short time. Because everyone can google the answers, the knowledge the players have going into the quiz is not assessed which defeats the purpose of a quiz.
