What I never understood is why it's called Sonic Boll if it's primarily a remake of SMB1.

Also, the heck does "boll" mean? Is it a misspelling of "ball"? Google tells me it's "the rounded seed capsule of plants such as cotton or flax", which... doesn't make any sense.
