Great thread! Over the past year I've gotten into exercise when I never really was into it. It's been a huge difference for me, I used to feel like my body was just getting worse every day and now it's just the opposite, I'm getting stronger all the time.
I do DDPY 6 days a week and have kept up with it for almost 9 months now. It's a program created by the 3-time WCW Champion Diamond Dallas Page that he accidentally invented when healing from a horrible back injury. He talks about it here:
and here's a video of one of the many people who made a miraculous recovery with the program:
There's a lot of stories just like his on YouTube that are pretty inspirational.
I can't say I personally have experienced anything that miraculous but I'm also not really doing it 100% right LOL. But even with what I am doing I've gained a lot of strength and stamina that I never had before. I don't think I could ever do a pushup before in my life and now they're not really hard at all. And I can walk pretty far without any issues where even under a mile was just too much for me before.
All in all I love it and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get into exercise but doesn't know where to start, it's an all-in-one program that doesn't involve any expensive equipment so if you don't like it you don't lose much of an investment.
""We choose to go to the [Suggestions board] not because it's easy, but because it's hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win."
