Wolves of the Beyond is a pretty interesting book series, and I would suggest it to anyone who needs time to kill.

It stars Faolan, a wolf who was abandoned by his own mother from the wolf pack for having a twisted foot/paw, seemingly a birth defect that causes Faolan to be desolated into the utter wilderness to die. The wolves don't want weaknesses or flaws in their packs. However, Faolan is soon taken in by a grizzly bear that found him alone and dying. He learns how to become one with the wolves as he grows, and living with the bear teaches him how to be a wolf himself. It's a really amazing series and I suggest that anyone who finds boredom in their lives to read this great series. I adore it very much.
