Chat Rules

• No harassment. Bullying, discrimination or general unkindness towards anyone will not be tolerated, especially if the member in question does not have access to this chat. We're not asking you to be best buddies, but we do ask you treat everyone with respect.
  - Reports and/or requests to kick/ban a member may only be discussed with staff in private. Posting such things in public is considered a form of harassment.
  
• No outside disputes/drama. As briefly mentioned in the previous rule, gossip, drama, and disputes from external sources are heavily discouraged. We will take action as deemed necessary.
  
• No NSFW material or illegal content. Self-explainatory.
  
• A word on controversial topics. Certain topics are avoided on purpose due to the fact that they can cause things to get heated rather quickly. Ask a moderator or admin for more information if needed.
  
• Keep content in its proper channel. Bot commands belong in #bots, memes and the like belong in #space-junk-galaxy, artwork belongs in #art-wip, etc.
  

Additional Notes
These aren't as important as the rules mentioned above, although they are still worth noting:

• Avoid flooding or spamming the chat.
  
• In the event that someone is constantly skirting the rules and actively bothering enough members that it becomes something the staff is repeatedly contacted about, action may be taken on a case-by-case basis. No one really wants to do this, but it can be necessary in some situations.
  
• Feel free to ask for help with your programming or sprite skills in #dev-wip and #art-wip, respectively. The @Art Helper and @Programming Helper roles are there to help you, so feel free to ping them for advice.
  
• Please be sure to adhere to Discord's terms of service.
  

We may add more rules if necessary, but the moderators will always have the final say.
