Discord Feedback Megathread

To open this post, I must clarify I am just an observer to the Discord branch and Main Forum. I do not know anything about the substance of the drama or arguments in the Discord (or Wiki for that matter), other than it has to do with what Kirb has mentioned. I have no real say on the final decision except for the fact I am apart of this community.

So then I ask:

"What is the purpose of the MFGG Discord?"

That's a serious question. I'm going to play a little devil's advocate and additionally propose...

"What if the MFGG Discord is shut down?"

Now, I must clarify that I don't support closing down the Discord (unless reasons or other), we need communication for a community.

My devil-proposed argument is followed by these reasons:

• Without the Discord, the community would (in theory) bring more attention back to the fan-games, events, and other forum-related media.
  
• This would need to be managed less by quality-control and staff, because everything is centralized.
  
• The posts on the forum seem more "official" (so-to-speak), are structured, and have more presence. This makes it easier for quality-control and staff to manage a safe and friendly community.
  

I hope that brings more to the table in terms of discussion.
