I love this idea in theory (as long as there's a way to disable it, of course). It would be a lot of fun to have the 1-Up sound play if you 1-Upped a post, for example.
There'd be two steps in turning this idea into a reality:
1. First of all, we'd need to find, edit, and upload sound effects for each action that needs a sound effect. We'd want to make sure they were compressed to achieve respectable sound quality and a low file size. Having some skin-specific sound effects would be extra-awesome, although that would obviously make this step more complex.
2. Then we'd need to find a way to implement this system. I'm not sure if there are any plugins for MyBB sound effects. I'm sure there's someone who knows more about the technical details of this.
This system could be tricky to implement, but if you know of a way to implement this system in a way that's scalable and doesn't have a significant adverse effect on forum performance, then I'm all for it.
