I am not really an anime fan. I personally don't care for the art style, which tends to turn me off from most of them. I'm sure if I sat down and really got into an anime's storyline I'd continue it. That'd take forcing myself to see past the visuals, which is hard for me not only with anime. I could never bring myself to watch shows like Bigmouth simply due to the visuals (though Bigmouth is admittedly far uglier than most anime I've seen).
Naruto is one anime I have tried to watch, but I lost interest after the first half of the first episode. If Ponyo counts as an anime I like that, as well Totoro and that one where the little girl's parents become pigs. I'm not sure if it has to be a series rather than a standalone movie in order to warrant the anime label.
