Quote:Best one I can recommend is probably Mega Man 5, as the item drop rate is a lot higher in that one.This. It gives you more health and 1up pickups. It also does have a pretty powerful charge buster, so playing it with buster only is pretty easy (unlike most of the others).
Quote:As for Mega Man 5, why do people find it to be the easiest one? I remember some of its bosses being pretty damn hard.
The bosses aren't hard, as most (if not all of them) have fixed patterns (Charge and Wave Man have small RNG moments, but most of their patterns are fixed or depend on your movement, like staying close enough to them etc.). And if you use the robotmaster weapons on them, most of them will die in seconds.
The weapons suck though... besides buster, arrow and jet there is not much of use of these.
Do me a favor and think twice before playing 3 or 6 as your next titles...
6 is good, but has some weird control issues, especially the sliding (you can't jump out of a slide for example).
Megaman 3 is an interesting game, but it's not very fun to pick. It's the glitchiest and buggiest one of the NES titles and some levels (Wily levels and Doc) are badly designed (the Doc bosses are a mess). It also keeps eating button inputs (like you press the button to jump and Megaman doesn't jump) and has weird hitboxes everywhere. If you going to play 3, bring some patience with you, as this game likes to make you suffer (I even prefer MM1 over this).
I would rate the NES games like this:
MM5 > MM6 > MM4 > MM1 > MM2 > MM3
