Is New Super Mario Bros 2 actually a bad game?

i think it's one of the better games in the new super mario bros series because if you're playing for maximum coin efficiency the game is very fast-paced and challenging
but there's like five of these f***ing games and i can't even tell them apart any more. how many had the poison level? two? which one lets you be a penguin? f*** mario
