For as accurate as possible emulation, DK Arcade is based on a proprietary " i8035" sound chip, itself based on the Intel MCS-48 microprocessor behaving as a wavetable synthesizer of some kind. As far as I know, there's currently no way to accurately emulate it in a music making program like BeepBox or FamiTracker.
I think there's two methods to get something close to it:
1. Render your output from BeepBox, put it in an equalizer. Chop off the high end pretty harshly and increase the volume on low-mid and bass. Add some slight reverb and possibly bitcrush it ever so slightly or emulate it with some super subtle distortion. It won't be 100% accurate, but has a similar sound to the muffled DAC of the original cabinet.
2. Sample waves from instruments used in the original music and load them to a music program with a sampler, ModPlug for example. Then just compose the music using the samples you have. This'll sound a bit more accurate, but there's limitations to what you can do with the samples. For some additional realism, you could take the output from this and put it through the steps I described in step 1.
I haven't exactly looked much into emulating the sound of DK, so maybe someone else has a better method for it. This is just what I think.
