You only have these discussions because you're allowing them.

A vocal minority that contributes absolutely nothing doesn't need to be catered to. You should work on attracting people that actually make good games.

When I first became a staff I was trying to make everyone happy, or rather find a happy medium so everyone could happy, so we wouldn't have so much drama. It took me a while to realize that this is pretty much impossible. No matter what we do some people will complain. So I'm trying to focus on the needs and requests of the active userbase, instead of trying to cater to pretty much everyone and make no one happy as a result.

That being said, we can't just ban discussions like this. In the end it's criticism on us. It doesn't matter if we think it's pointless or done for the sake of it, silencing it would just make the things worse.

Why does it matter? Just because he hasn't made a fangame for a while his input is less valid? That shouldn't be a factor at all lol, that just seems like a toxic mindset to me.

I appreciate that you guys addressed the toxic reaction, but part of the problem is that this thread had to be made before you would do anything about it in the first place. Staff members were defending the behavior on the site before this thread was created.

You sure? Because it looked like staff already handled things on the Discord, before this thread was made.

To give Ped credit, we cleaned up the comments on the main site after they started to complain, but I've been telling people to be respectful on Discord ever since the game came out lol, and the cleanup probably would've happened regardless.

As for Sooshy, nothing is stopping you from having fun. This thread is very easy to ignore. Instead of coming in to preach that people should just shut up for the sake of your entertainment, you could just as easily just stay out of it yourself. There is nothing forcing you to read the thread.

If the thread exists people will click it to see it. They see people arguing about a stupid Bowsette game and the argument being very heated for no reason. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth regardless.

You guys arguing that anyone that raised a concern about this issue is just being argumentative and has no interest in contributing to this community is a huge part of the problem between members and staff.

It's not just the staff, sooshy isn't a staff member, Vert isn't a staff member for sure, and last time I checked Coco was also not a staff member anymore. It's not just me complaining here lol, a lot of the actual active userbase is sick of this too.

You and your a few friends who only come here to argue once a blue moon aren't the only members of MFGG.
