scratch is fine for when you haven't been developing for very long. you will likely outgrow it soon if youre trying to make games of any scale tho
i dont really know what people use these days for small/hobby games... i assume game maker still dominates but im not certain
if you want something with scratch-levels of ease-of-use i recommend construct. theres even an online version like scratch, but i have a feeling its way more powerful
that aside: i hope to see your projects go places!
