This sounds like good news for pro developers. However, the free version of GM Studio 2 still doesn't export .EXE files, and paying $100 a year for a license is going to be impractical or impossible for most kids, students, hobbyists, or people who aren't reasonably affluent.
I'm not unequivocally opposed to "SaaS" (Software as a Service) pricing models, but I still prefer one up-front payment for software I'm using for fun.
I'm definitely sticking with GM Studio 1.4.
