So after I saw Super Mario Bros. Wonder's trailer, I got the idea to make a fangame with it's art style (but pixelated). I thought it would be nice to have an improved Super Mario Maker with more elements from other Mario games. As I have seen, Nintendo doesn't go (very often) after fangames that aren't remakes.
My game will have 0 assets from Nintendo games, all srites, music and code will be made by me or by my team. So, would this be considered a Mario Maker remake or something? I will add more features such as a store where you can buy exclusive elements and other stuff, but I'm afrait of it being taken down because it will take a lot of work.
Should I do it? Any recommendations to avoid "plagiarism"?
