I might be old-school but I absolutely despise Discord serving as a replacement for forums.

It's like an endless stream of consciousness and it's terrible to showcase your project in it, or start a meaningful discussion to come back to, and it's very easy to be "out of the loop" when something happens and you weren't there to witness it.

We really should incentivize the usage of forums more, and encourage more people to show off their work here.

It would definitely be nice to have more people show off the games they are working on in a forum thread, it keeps discussion on a single game far more organized, and people who haven't joined the discord can see that the community is still here making fangames. Currently, new posts in that section are sorely lacking for sure.
