The MFGG Wiki is now running PHP 8.2! You probably haven't noticed much difference - it's been running on 8.2 for a few days now. Thankfully, upgrading the MFGG Wiki to PHP 8 was much easier than upgrading the forums or (worse yet) the mainsite.
The Wiki now has an overly detailed history of MFGG bots and spam. Have fun. If you're wondering why I considered this notable, dealing with automated traffic is the biggest challenge that forum admins face these days, and many of the technical changes we've made in recent years are for thwarting spambots or overzealous crawlers. Perhaps a future admin - or even an admin on a related community - would find these details helpful. Or maybe you just want to have a chuckle at some of the absurdities of a world where most Internet traffic is robotic.
Fun Fact: Until yesterday, the TCSMS article hadn't been updated since 2007. Zoinks.
