Alrite, its been a few months since my original post. I still haven't updated my Wiki, I figure I would contribute some more stuff before I do that. On July 9, 2026 it is going to be the 25th anniversary of the community, thats a huge milestone, especially for this site.
I would like to emulate a celebration of the 25th anniversary as something wroth treasuring, instead of maybe just a 25th anniversary topic. I'm gettin' too old for this
So I am working on games, sprites, Mario stuff, etc etc for myself, for you guys, for MFGG. MFGG (the community) was a big part of my life growing up.
Let me go ahead and wrap this topic up. WasabiCatto said he used to be Darkyoshi. As I said, when I first started being interested in Mario website stuff, one of the first websites I was into was Purple Yoshi's Page, a Geocities website that was partly in the same community of the sprite comic patrons I used to hang out online with. I explored the old website (I have no idea who the owner is, as I only wrote a couple messages back and forth long before anything else took place) and there was a staff member named Dark Yoshi (dont know if there was a space or not). Was this you or someone else?
And yes, Nowhere Man the name itself comes from my old obsession (which never died) of The Beatles. I am going to work on Nowhere Man stuff too for the fun of it while I am here.
I do enjoy Discord quite a bit, the forums are fun and cool but they are simply not active like they used to be .
I have never played the Mario Maker games, but I've watched videos and I gotta get my hands on those in the near future!!!!
It is rather hard for me to explore IPB Boards, I dont know when that opens and when it closes, but I am atleast thankful for the stuff I got while it was open. Like I said, I wasn't here for the boards after that, so while there is cool stuff exploring that one, I just am not as connected to it as I was the IPB boards.
The original Boo sprites that I posted, the ones on the site, they actually were not the ones I submitted to the sprite competition which I said. The ones I have on the site, I think I got some backlash on that, like give me credit for edited sprites or something... I dont know, I think they are edited with original components, mixing and matching Boos or something, which is Oh Well to me now because it is a different time. Also I collected sprites, I am going to be working and making my own sprites for various different projects. So I have that going for me right now.
I think I lost CuteYoshiGirl I havent seen them here in a long while lol
I also found that topic in here somewhere with ShadowMan's retrospection of MFGG written some time recently, it was cool, something I could relate to him about still.
Also while Jinpen was banned on the old old forums, I found him on these forums!!! He posted some of his art in the art forum, goes to show that MFGG had a lot of influence on each us personally. Even DuckBoy is still making art, though, I dont see any correlation to MFGG.
So thats a wrap, I had a lot of fun here in the past. I just want to make something special out of all this for the anniversary.
