That's a bummer indeed - computer issues are the polar opposite of fun.
That said, unless you dropped your computer in a volcano or chopped your hard drive into itty-bitty pieces or something, there's a very good chance that at least some data can be recovered. I'd really hate to see all your unreleased graphics vanish into the ether.
