Okay people, I had a minor setback two weeks ago on Saturday (2026-07-11), my Linux system was inaccessible after updating the packages and rebooting it, so I had to format my computer. Fortunately I had a slightly older backup on another computer, the lesson here is to make backups at least once a week and store it on another hard drive (I plan to create a private GitHub repository later on).
I was searching for some more code in the ROM to write custom 6502 code, I removed the balance lift behavior so I managed to free 417 bytes (remember that I'm not using any custom mapper or expansion).
Another thing is that I'm running out of sprites, in the editor I didn't found a way to convert an object/block to sprite, so I'll have to do that myself by relocating the objects to sprites and changing the level data pointers.
Anyway, here's the Super Mario Run at home:
