Well, for me I have nothing against using AI when you get stuck in the game development, I don't think that a fangame developed with help of AI automatically makes it "AI slop", it depends on how much effort you put in the code and graphics.

For example, if you just blindly copy and paste the generated code without understanding it there's a great chance it might contain errors or subtle bugs. But if you read the code, asking yourself if it makes sense, trying to understand what the code does, now that's actual effort put.

So don't worry about getting help from AI in the development of your fangame, have fun making it, focus on the gameplay which is the most important part of a game. And nice house pictures that you have.

PS: I visited the Ludo AI website, I found it interesting, might experiment it in the future.

And here's the thing...if I make another game (cause I might just make another game, I never know), but if I make another game and if I make it with A.I., I have no problem not making money off of it.  Cause, out of respect, it wouldn't be completely my game.  If A.I. is used for it, I have no problem not making money off of it.  I just have a lot of ideas that I'd personally like to implement.  And I'd do that out of respect, cause it's not fair for an actual game developer.  Believe me, I'm not a complete a**hole, I think that's being fair enough.  But if I'm using my money, my resources, etc... then what's the big deal?  This is just a hobby, it's really not that serious.

There's a lot of quality fangames out there which has lead some people to think that every fangame needs to meet the golden standard, but in the end of the day, it's something people do for free in their free time, for their own amusement.

There's many arguments to be made against AI, but in the end it's your game, your money, you do you.

Well I get it...I do.  Cause there are certain people on this website who bust a** everytime they make a game.  And that's something to be admired, there's something to be said about a hueman making a game from scratch.  And again, I have no problem not making money off of any game I make in the future.  I'm just here to have fun, I'm not here to make a quick buck.  I have a job that I really love, and I don't need the money.  It's not about the money for me, rather it's about just having fun.  If I wanted to get serious, I would hire a tutor (especially for programming), and I would actually learn how to make a game from bottom to top and make money off of it.  I'm not here to do that.  I'm just here to have fun.  And I think that's being fair, that if any game I make from here on out involves A.I., I think it's fair that I don't make money off of it.  Again, I'm not a complete a**hole, yeah there are people out there who deserve every dime they get from making their game.  For me it's not really about the money.  So, I dunno, I'm just here to have fun that's all.
