Sonic is so cool that I still care about his series for some reason that I can't fully explain or comprehend in spite of the fact that Heroes is the most recent officially-licensed Sonic game that I've ever played. Sonic World is the only semi-complete-ish fangame that I have downloaded on my computer right now, and the Boom cartoon is literally the only television show that I care about in any capacity.
I don't know, maybe Sonic Adventure 2 contains subliminal messages that completely prevent those who play it at a certain age from ever truly losing interest in the franchise. Maybe I'm just really aching for that incredibly specific tone and atmosphere that the Dreamcast/Gamecube era Sonic games exuded. Maybe I'm just too attached to the characters. Either way, as little as I actually care about most of the games, I will always love Snoc, Snoc's friends, and wasting entire weeks of my life listening to random people on YouTube who I don't know talk about Snoc.
