Yeah, I've gotten this criticism before and I definitely understand why. I think, often times, I'm afraid of varying it so much that it becomes inconsistent and messy, but I might overdo it and make a song that, instead, doesn't vary itself a lot at all and is therefore a bit boring.

I actually hadn't noticed this. When I get another pair of working headphones, I'm likely to go in and tweak that song a bit and, if I do, I'll fix the drums, if possible.
