Improving mainsite moderation - and you can help!

For many years, the mainsite was difficult to moderate. There was no way for mainsite staff to see a list of the latest mainsite comments. This meant we couldn't find a rules-breaking post unless we manually clicked on submissions or waited for someone to report a comment to us. Needless to say, the old system wasn't very effective.

However, today is a new day in mainsite moderation! I wrote an SQL query that displays all the latest mainsite comments on a convenient dashboard, and @Hypernova wrote the PHP code needed to display this query in a Web page. We'll be checking this dashboard on a daily basis, which should prevent new bad comments from mucking up the mainsite.

And that's where you come in! We're promoting at least one new comment mod to monitor the new comments dashboard and take action on any conversations that need attention. (This person may or may not be a current staff member.)
