While I wasn't in MFGG during the old days, I have read about a lot of things about its past and even looked at the IPB forum archive many times. Anyone remember when Mario Gamer did movie reviews? I looked at a bunch of them, and they seemed cool -- short and straight to the point, which is nice. From the looks of it, it seems that MFGG talked about movies a lot back then, with movies like Wall-E and episode 3 of Star Wars getting a lot of replies. You don't see much of that nowadays; the last time I remember any discussion about a movie was Inside Out.

I remember when Mario Gamer reviewed The Dark Knight in 2008 when it came out. That actually caused me to go see it myself at the movie when I went to LA.

I remember Press Start's Zekewars game he made in like KNP and how it had an incredible amount of effort thrown at what was pretty much a one-off joke. Even had this elaborate Mega Man battle in it, it was amazing.

Yo, remember Press Start? Dude made Mario Storm, which is like the original "preserving MFGG culture in a stupid thing" thing.

I see Press Start on my twitter feed every now and then. Along with Fupoo since I follow both.

Fupoo was why I had any sort of involvement with Mega Man 8bit Deathmatch, even though my only contribution was the Metal Man sprite lol
