So I have noticed a DISTURBING lack of exciting times threads in the recent posts here. Which is unfortunate, since exciting times threads are cool.
I didn't do much in the way of exciting times, but I am pretty close to finishing an SMBX episode I've been working on for a while now.
I also have been meaning to get a saxophone 🎷 for the longest of times, and I will actually be getting one soon!!! & i'll also be taking some saxophone 🎷 lessons soon. Since you know. Stuff.
Once I learn syaxamaphone 🎷 I'm gonna join my school's band like next year or something.

Honestly I'm excited to pick up all the Nintendo Switch Pre-Order I made for the next two months, too many awesome games.
Besides that, life is good and I can't complain.
Make sure you get funky with the saxophone!... That doesn't sound right does it?

I'm learning how to use Aftereffects and Photoshop so I'm excited about that. I've also been getting back into drawing and it's been dope. Other than that, all good over here!

I wanna get back into guitar but there's a lot of other things that take priority rn. The sax is a kick-ass instrument though; good luck.

I've been in a very good spirit this past year. I've received a lot of recognition for my work (well, a lot for someone still in school) which has helped me grow more confident in myself. I've also gotten over a lot of insecurities with the way I look, which I used to be very critical of. Overall I've grown a lot as a person and have become a lot more positive. That's pretty exciting to look back on.

Also, I'm going into my senior year of college. I'm very excited to work on my thesis and I hope to achieve new goals with my art.

Edit: forgot to mention, great thread and I hope you have fun with the saxophone. I'm not musically inclined at all so I'm always impressed when people dedicate the time to learn an instrument.

Let's see...

Today I helped resolve a problem at work so a project deployment won't get delayed by a month. Right after work I went for a little walk and talked on the phone with a cute girl person.

This weekend I got motivated to clear up some of my personal backlog items, including finishing an almost-finished drawing I started in August 2012. Yes, it had been sitting in my desk for the past seven years. It never was the pinnacle of fine art, but I had fun anyway.

I've also been enjoying a brief surge in motivation to make game things.

I noticed alot of positive response to the thread & saxophone. I'm gonna try to respond to everyone (who was taking this seriously) including myself here so bear with me

So I am probably going to start saxophone lessons this weekend when I actually get the sax, or next weekend. Whenever I have some free time to get some lessons in, you know the deal.
My mom wasn't fully supportive of the idea of me actually spending my time on something productive, but I convinced her that yes, I will dedicate time to this woodwind thingy. I did decide which type of sax I'm gonna get though, which you may have already noticed in my signature, I'm gonna get the tenor saxophone. I would've went with alto but I decide it's a bit too small and high pitched, and the tenor sounds good and.. decently large. Make sure to hype yourselves up for Kenny G 2.0!

Nintendo switch games are pretty cool! Personally the one I'm most excited for is Luigi's Mansion 3, although I'll need to get some or a switch controller(s) before I grab that game.

Aftereffects and photoshop skills can prove to be useful! Good that you're learning something productive. Also drawing is cool, you could do like commissions or something and get money. I dunno, I'm not an artist and also don't make money. Might use sax for some creative things eventually though

I don't know much about vocational nursing but I'll give it my best shot. I think it's pretty great that you're doing a vocational nursing program, the world needs more nurses out there definitely. Hopefully you're not too excited! Good luck with your VNP. I hope it turns out well.

Resolving problems is always fun. And so is talking to cute girl persons. Good thing to get your backlog cleared up since you might need that space for other things in future! Hopefully that motivation gets you alot of stuff done this week.

You'll love playing an instrument! I played cello in my middle school and highschool orchestra. It was fun! And also played guitar as well with bass guitar!

Band is much cooler than being an orch dork. :P

It's complicatedâ„¢. I do know a young lady who thinks I'm dashing, though! I've made more progress than I have in the past, that's for sure.
