I've been on MFGG for 15 years now

I first joined the Mario Fan Games Galaxy main site and message boards on August 15th, 2006 after searching tirelessly and finally finding Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga sprites for my RPG Maker fangame called Mario & Luigi: The Crystal Star Mountain. The main site I registered on first at 3:37 PM EST, and the old Invision forums less than an hour later at 4:16PM EST. I was only 15 years old at the time, and I was just about to start 9th grade in high school. I can't believe I've spent half my life here. What an awesome time it's been. I've made so many friends here, learned how sprite, made a fangame, played online games like Pokémon Diamond & Pearl Version with other MFGGers, discuss gaming and life news, be a part of many forum fads, and so much more. This place has positively shaped the last few years of my childhood and I'm glad I found this place.

I posted my first sprite sheet some 11 years ago now in 2010. Man, I was still in grade school back then. I'm no longer a very active member, either here or on the main site, but it's hard to fathom how this place has been in my life for damn near half of it.
I really should try to get back into spiriting, at least for old-times sake.

Crazy to think I was here when I was 14 at the time. Originally joined in 2004, and spent most if not all my free time on here, until 2007, and while most sites I was active on back then no longer exist or died, I'm glad this is still around.

november 11th will be 15 years for me

as soon as i got to this place, it became one of the biggest facets of my life. and i cant really say that's ever changed, at least in the sense that i still have video games & toying with technology at the front of my mind at all times.

strange how the four-or-so years that i spent at this place from 2006-2010 have been more impactful than the 11 that would follow
