After some events that occurred, I don't like Nintendo anymore. I love their games, though. Would the games I make for my project still be considered fangames? By the way, I'm going to college to learn how to code.

Depends if it's a mario fangame you are making, then yes it would be consider a fangame.

Yes, it would still be a fangame.
Nobody actually likes Sonic and there are still plenty of Sonic fangames.
