Some sprite I made and submitted to this website a while back

I'm not entirely sure if the jagged edge/outline is a style choice but the outlines/edge made the sprites look a bit jarring. Second, there are shadings but insufficient. It makes them feel mostly flat. I would advise to darken the outline and add shading with stronger contrast.

If I were the main site QA, I would be hesitant to approve this. It's original all right but people are unlikely to use it.

Fair ig, I mean, the sprite edges are just really a style of mine, idk I just make these sprites in pixel studio and I just do whatever. (Idrc if not many people use this tbh this is just a sprite I made cuz I wanted to, if I’ll try to keep what you said in mind when making these kinds of sprites again, I’m not really much of a sprite expert or anything)

I like that you manually drew the ball instead of using the circle tool. I can appreciate someone who gets down and dirty in MS Paint.

I don’t really use ms paint, I just use pixel studio, I’m on mobile, probably could had probably just used the circle tool for the ball imo but thanks.

It's kind of cute... I like Larry's grumpy face! It has a certain charm to it. But there's definitely some room for improvement.

Some of the lines are a little jagged. His arms are awfully wide, and in most of the frames, there's very little form to his arms.

Also, the shading is inconsistent. The overall shape of his hair is pretty good, but it would benefit from more texture as well.

Keep trying! As you make more sprites and get more feedback, you'll get better.
