Notifications for review comments on your games

I've always thought it was annoying that the mainsite software doesn't give you a notification when someone leaves a comment on a review for one of the games you've made.

Currently, you get a notification only if someone comments on one of your mainsite submissions, such as games you've submitted and reviews you've written. But I think it would be nice if you got a similar notification if you received a comment on a review about one of your games/hacks. Sometimes these review comments contain useful feedback.

It would also be good if it notified about someone post a comentary of your jobs, like sprites, sounds, or models that someone puts in your work. For example, if someone comments "good job" on a project about improved SMW sprites, you'd get a notification that someone commented "good job" on your project.

@luckygames I'm confused about this post - could you clarify? Currently, if you have a submission on the mainsite (games, graphics, reviews, or anything else), and another member posts a comment on that submission, you'll get a notification that you received a new comment on one of your submissions.

I don't think you've ever submitted anything to the MFGG mainsite - once you have a submission or two, you'll know what I mean.

I'm proposing expanding this notification system so you also get a notification if someone posts a comment on a review written by another member for a game/hack that you made. Currently, this scenario doesn't give you a notification.

I only used it as an example, not that I've actually done it, but what I mean is that if you have a sprite project for SMW in the sprite catalog, and someone comments "good job," you should receive a notification that this person commented on your SMW sprite´s project. This could be included in the user's "inbox," since the only real notifications are those from the forum page. This wouldn't matter if the forum account and the regular account were connected, but since they're separate, comments on your projects uploaded to the main website should arrive in your inbox.

Ah, that makes more sense. That's actually how the notifications system works today - you'll understand it once you submit something to the mainsite. You'll get a notification in your mainsite inbox if anyone comments on one of your mainsite submissions.
