When replying to a thread there's no clear indication of new posts inside the thread. It has happened to me when writing a reply there was no new post, but when I submit it there was a new post with a few minutes of difference. The problem with this is that it could be the same content that I wrote before.

My suggestion is to implement a notification inside the reply page showing to the user that there's a new post on the thread (this feature is called ninja protection).

If I recall correctly, the phpBB incarnation of the MFGG forums had this feature.

Does anyone know if a plugin for this exists for MyBB? I couldn't find one after some extensive analysis (also known as "a couple of Google searches").

Use the following syntax, replacing the [at] with an '@' as appropriate:
