I also asked this a while ago. I want to use Construct 1 for my first game.

i mean how many fan-games on the main site RIGHT NOW are made with Construct, Construct 2, or Construct 3.

From what I know, uh... Late Night Mario 3?
Aside from that there's nothing else I think.

To my knowledge there's not really that many users of Construct on MFGG these days. Most people use Game Maker.

Didn't Glukom use Construct? Or am I wrong?
But Construct isn't very popular here. I'd like to see it used more, myself. Vimimin Wrote:Hylian's day job, little did we know, was saying controversial things on the internet. Mors Wrote:you fool!!!! you fixed it wrong!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Bibby Team

As my understanding goes, Construct's environment is a lot more similar to Clickteam than GM.

I tried using Construct back in 2012, I think it was Nite who recommended I try it out. I think I was getting the hang of some basics, but I confess I could never quite get used to the overall structure of the program.
I think it's worth trying out at the very least! ![]()

I'd say there's still complicated stuff even if they say it's "super easy" and "pure drag and drop".

@Ostrich101 Nite's Yoshi vs. Windows patch used one of the Clickteam products.
Here's an example of a game Nite made in Construct more recently. Course clear! You got a card.

That's what I got when I checked the site for Construct. But I'm very sure that like how Clickteam users do tutorials to help you learn the ropes with the Clickteam products, there should be folks who have been or are doing tutorial videos on how to do game development in the Construct environment as well. This one thing is certain: definitely get used to the "events" thing in Construct because like the Event Editor in the Clickteam stuff, you'll be spending a lot of time there. |
