I made it as a mockup / test and forgot to change it back to the default one, but if people kind of like it then I'm happy to keep or refine it. It sort of goes with the graphical theme here, even if it's a bit bolder than what we're probably used to.

tbh I preferred the old logo, since I felt it fit better with the rest of the site. Maybe use the new logo for an all-out Paper Mario skin instead?

I think there's currently some kind of competition between the Paper Mario aesthetic (the new logo, the "MFGG Main" logo, the icons on that highlight banner on the right) and the very clean, "modern" simplistic graphic aesthetic. I think the new logo is very nice and makes the "MFGG Main" look less out of place, but I think we just need more of the papery texture on some other parts of the skin in order for everything to tie together (or just completely remove any papery texture and save that for a paper skin).

The logo itself is very nice but one issue I do see is that the l in "galaxy" is the only letter that touches the "MFGG" part, and it only does so very slightly which is a little odd looking. I'd just move that text down a bit to keep them separated. Otherwise it's really nice.

Yeah you're right about that. I designed the skin here to be very "modern" and I mainly used Paper Mario things as filler because I couldn't decide on icons and so on and didn't have the time to design my own.

But I've grown a bit attached to the Paper Mario style and kind of like it. I think it has a lot more personality than the "modern" look. I have two options I guess, convert a few things here to be more Paper Mario styled, such as the top-right icons, while still keeping it looking sleek, or make a separate skin and go full Paper Mario on it and keep the modern look for the main skin.

The issue I have is that the default skin is the face of the website and you want it to be as attractive as possible. I'd like to keep things sleek and modern looking, without sacrificing the personality that a website like ours should have.

It's a good logo but it reminds me of Paper Mario: Color Splash and for that reason I reject it on principle

Anyway, Paper Mario will always have more personality in everything than the main series.
