If we can, banners should be added to the site. Banners can work in a similar way to twitter and a few other sites. If they were to appear, then they should be as large as the mfgg banner.

I don't think that this would be very useful. It's a lot of work for something not a lot of people will regularly see. It makes much more sense on something like Twitter. imo avatars are enough.

I honestly think it would give profiles more of an personality instead of the generic blank profile.

There's nothing wrong with your suggestion in theory. But it's a "nice to have" feature. The amount of work to implement the idea is much too high though. Speaking as Forum Admin who has run a site with MyBB since 2009.

That said, I love banners. My favourite website software is the custom software used on Giantbomb.com

They integrate their site with their forum and their wiki with a single sign in, and they have banners on their profile pages: https://www.giantbomb.com/profile/xander/

It's not a bad idea, but right now it's low on the priority list. If enough people request this, we could probably find a way to make it happen, though.
