Yup. The plan is to have only original songs in the end. Most of the songs are by an awesome dude named Rocky from talkhaus, and he's doing an amazing job.

Hey everyone, a bit of news. Due to the recent takeover, I've been asked by some of the new higherups to make some changes to Midas Machine so that it would reflect more strongly on talkhaus. Now, don't worry, this isn't a major thing, but it is a thing. So with that in mind, I'd like to present the new name of the game:

Superb Demo Sisters & A Midas Thing

And don't worry, theres still 4 players to choose from. You can pick from Demo, Iris, Wademo, and Waris as you adventure around collecting Golden Leeks

Even if you might not like what I'm going to say, I'm still sad that the game have to use a reskin to be OK. Hope you understand, I've been waiting for years for this fangame and it is strike in the last few seconds of devellopement ;-;

Yeah, I'm afraid it's just a prank. Making new sheets for all the main characters, and enemies would add months of extra work, plus Demo is talkhaus's character, so using her in our game could stir up some issues we'd rather avoid. That said, there may be some ASMT elements in the game regardless, so you'll want to keep an eye out for that.

Do you still have those older character sprites? I remember you made a sheet for Mario in that style, and on that same sheet, you had Luigi's, Wario's, and Waluigi's base pose on there.

The first song will be used in the game, the second one I'd like to use, and will try to find a use for it, the main issue being the fact that it doesn't loop very well.

As for the older sprites, Dex, the maker of the original Mario and Luigi sheets submitted them to Spriters Resource a while back, as for Wario and Waluigi's original sheets, I'm not sure if they are around anywhere.

I honestly think since the game is coming out soon, it would be better to do a release trailer for it. I think that would be the most appropriate time for he best (and probably last) footage of the game.

Well, I don't know about a trailer, but I did just make and update that will hopefully help Guinea in adding in some of the remaining enemies for the game, so that may (I really really hope) help to speed things along.

Sign of life from me, just did some stuff for the theater level today.
Seeing people after all these years still excited is great and a motivation to continue on until it's done

I guess don't expect trailers or demos or anything. The game took enough time to make as it is, everything that's not directly contributing to finishing the game just makes it be pushed out longer.
Chaoxys thankfully is keeping you guys covered with his screenshots and gifs.
I'm not really doing much spectacular to show off anymore, that's not spoiler territory
Most of the stuff that's still missing, in terms of programming and scripting, is bosses and cutscenes.


But I'll try to keep an eye open for stuff I can screenshot for this thread
