Sorry for double posting, but new art.
This is an edit of Boom!Sonic to look like Modern Sonic. You are free to use it for any work you want. Just give me credit.

Nice sonic! One thing I noticed: he seems to have some white pixels around him. Are you doing your art on the same layer as the white background? This causes the AA from the artwork to get into the background and it becomes very tough to make it look nice with a transparent background or to change the background color. You should do the artwork on a new layer above the background layer so that if you want to make the background transparent you simply have to turn off the layer and you won't have those white pixels around the artwork

Oh, but if you work on a separate layer from the background you won't even have to remove the background manually, you can just turn off te background layer and it'll be gone. What program are you using?

Bump, but I wanna show this:
The left is normal SMW Mario, the right is an edited SMB3 Luigi with the SMW Palettes. This is, in my opinion, the perfect Luigi in SMW, considering SMW was built off of SMB3.

While the edit looks okay, but I think you could've edited that SMB3 Luigi edit some more similar to how SMW Mario is done like the head, ears with no outline, and shoes for example. You might wanna change the arm shading similar to what SMW Mario has since it has SMB3's shading if you're gonna go with SMW style shading on the edit and clean up the pants shading overall. Just make a few more tweaks based on what I've said and it'll look on-point.

Is this better?

That looks great

Just thought I say this: I am not making this into a Sprite Sheet. If anyone wants to, then they are free to do so.

Another bump:
First time using Rayman assets, so it ain't the best, but it's the Rayman 1 victory pose.

the nose is slanted a bit, but other than that, it looks good.
01-20-2018, 11:30 AM
I would move his slanted foot down just a bit. Right now it's coming very close to the tip of his finger which causes tension and draws the eye to that area, but it's probably not the area you'd want us focusing on. You could also move the foot up to make it overlap. I'd try both to see which you prefer.
Otherwise it looks nice

If anyone wants the assests I used for the rayman thing, here ya go
https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_com...anlegends/ I didn't rip them, but they are useful. Here's orgins too https://www.spriters-resource.com/pc_com...anorigins/

Oh, I thought you had drawn it. Is that a pose he has in the game that you replicated or are you making your own poses for him?
