If that's the case, did Game Maker use to run in your laptop and now it couldn't work or are you talking about a new computer that cannot run that software no matter what?
I hope this game still has a chance; it's one of my most anticipated fangames!
Haven't heard from him in a while. As for the level editor, it's an old version of Ogmo that I can't find, and I don't think Mors had any luck either. I do have it on my old laptop, but my charging cable is broken on it so it's almost dead and I don't want to spend the money to get a new one. As for the GM thing, idk whats up with it. It worked for a while, then I went back and tried to us it again, and now it doesn't work.
The only chance it'll have is if Mors or someone else wants to take over on things. I'm still willing to lend a bit of a hand, but honestly, I've moved on to working on my indie game at this point since theres not much more I can do.
Well, I have done quite a bit already actually. I ported the game to GM8 (which wasn't that easy!), I tried to polish what was already there up and fix some issues, but unfortunately, things eventually came to a halt since I've been quite busy myself too.
I still don't want the project to go to waste, but at the same time... Yeaaaah, I can't really devote much time to it at all. Maybe at some point I can spend a month or two just to it just to get it out, but don't really expect that to happen anytime soon. Maybe later this year at best? I don't know, I'm already overwhelmed with projects as is.
And as for the level editor situation, that is a bit issue, but I'm pretty sure a solution can be found for that eventually.
Either way, my point is that I haven't fully given up myself yet. Not fully at least.
In any case, if anyone else wants to help too I'd be willing to work with others as well. Actually, in the past few months, I DID get some such offers, but it was by people who were clearly lacking any real game development experience or skill. Midas Machine's source is very complicated and there's quite a bit of bug fixing work left, so if you want to help make sure that you're at least competent in GameMaker 8.
And probably contact me about it first since I'd be able to tell if you'd be able to actually help us finish the game or not.
