REJECTED Shorten the name

Remove "Mario Fan Games Galaxy" from the title of the site.

While the site still focuses on Mario, the "fan games" part of the title doesn't hold up as well, with art resources, hacks, and the forum being other attractions.

The name makes about as much sense as calling MTV "Music Television" or CVS "Consumer Value Services."

Using "MFGG" would make no attempt to hide intentions, while attracting new members and allowing the site to expand beyond fangames.

Almost everyone calls us MFGG just because it's shorter and easier to type. We don't have any plans to ditch the Mario Fan Games Galaxy name altogether, though.

While MFGG has more than just Mario fangames, our primary focus is on making, sharing, and discussing Mario fangames and things closely related to Mario fangames (hacks, fanart, and official Nintendo games). There's lots of places on the Internet where you can discuss video games and miscellaneous stuff, but there's very few places focused on Mario fangames. Usually small online communities are more successful when they have a well-defined niche.

"MFGG" is already as short as it gets and while we may be interested in expanding our focus beyond fangames, we aren't planning on ditching our name to do so.

I like the idea, maybe we can make use of it one day when we're ready for a kind of rebrand or relaunch; doesn't make too much sense to just swap out the name randomly.
