September 2018 Game of the Month Nominations

We decided to shake up our processes for handing out Game of the Month awards. Half of them will be chosen by staff and will be awarded to a well-made game that was recently shared on MFGG. @Q-Nova was our most recent winner.

However, the other half will be games nominated by the community! So for odd-numbered months, we'll be opening up nominations for Game of the Month awards. We want you to choose a well-made game that's flown under the radar. After a couple of days, we'll choose one of these and make it the Game of the Month!

Four stipulations to keep in mind:

1. It can't be a game that's won a previous GOTM award
2. It has to be a game that's been posted on the MFGG mainsite, forums, or Wiki
3. It has to be a complete game (no engine tests or short demos)
4. It can't be a game you made yourself

Whether they're a month old or a decade old, MFGG has lots of hidden gems that have never been recognized as Game of the Month - and you're here to help!

Hm, how about Crazy Lakitu DX? I don't think the online highscores are up anymore, but the gameplay's still entertaining and it has fun, well-made bosses.

Honestly, we should give GOTM to Ancient Shroomba, the winner of the Halloween contest.

While the GOTM being promised as an award was something that was ultimately canceled, Ancient Shroomba definitely deserves the title.

@Fun With Despair Well, it says September 2018 Game of the Month, and Ancient Shroomba was released in October, so that wouldn't make a lot of sense. Also, I specifically said that we'd be alternating between new games and community-nominated games.
