Make the Announcements more visible. (Or my rant about how comps are treated.)

Sometimes when a comp is started, it isn't put on announcement bar on the forums or given a message in the #announcements of the discord, or even announced at all. This causes no one to know the comp exists, or is even happening.
This should not be the norm for comps. Sitting there, with no one participating.

Remember the sprite comp where two people had to collaborate and make a sprite? Only GamerinGeorgia participated, and then the comp was shelved.

It seems like the staff are being a bit lazy with updating the announcement bar for comps.

If comps were announced more frequently, or if there announced on the discord you get a @everyone message, then maybe they would have more participants.

They should definitely get someone to work on promoting these things more.

It kind of just fell to the bottom of the priorities immediately after I stepped down, it seems.

I've mentioned this on the Discord several times, I don't know why competition are given absolutely no promotion on any platform of any kind, we might as well not do competitions if they aren't even going to be promoted, barely anyone even knows they are going on after all.

Okay, so I checked the announcements channel in the discord, and the Drawing Comp wasn't there at all. Plus, the deadline is today.

Unless the staff are too busy to announce comps, this screams to me that the staff are extremely lazy announcing comps and just don't care about them anymore.

Competitions need more love. MFGG might not be as active as it once was, but I still think competitions can be very successful if they have a good theme and a reasonable amount of promotion.
