Bring back the Help forum

I miss the Help forum. It was a great place to see what kind of issues MFGG members were having and easily lend a hand if it's something I'm familiar with. Would love to see it make a comeback.

I'd agree with this normally, I mean I have a channel dedicated to just that in my own Discord server.

But knowing MFGG... it will probably turn into the forum for requesting sprites lol

I don't believe that is the case. the archive of the IPB help forum is there if you want to look back at what it was like. Even the original phpBB help forum had some fantastic threads. I think the only reason it was removed was because of the split and it just hasn't come back. It might not be the most active forum out there but its just fantastic to have a place you can go if you want some help with anything you can think of.

Yeah, I always thought the Help forum was a useful thing. I suppose a lot of help questions could go in Developer Discussion, and the rest could live in General.

However, I wouldn't mind seeing it back.

Hey a Help Forum would be helpful! But yeah, I think we need to make sure people abuse it for making pointless requests. In addition, I am still down to make a Submit-It topic to help main site users submit content in case the main site user session bug is giving them a hard time.

I don't know why MFGG goes through phases where it condenses everything into broad forums and then eventually brings back the forums they nixed. Quite fascinating.

But there's no reason why we can't have a help forum. Just because someone begs for sprites doesn't mean you need to do their bidding. Link them to guides on how to sprite, help them the way they need help not the way they're asking for it.
