Spider Thread

This will never catch on.

I decided to create a thread on a specific topic. It's an animal my country (Australia) ought to be proud of. That animal is the spider. So I introduce the sp-ider (horrible Megamind reference) thread where we can talk about what makes spiders so awesome.


Probably not the best thread for arachnophobes.

Ah yes my kind of thread.

H. Bicolor is my favourite. Should hopefully be getting a few for breeding if all works out.
Aside from that any Latrodectus(Widows, Redbacks and relatives) will always impress me.

Here's my old widow, she was great. Here's a huntsman who sadly had molting complications and died.(A shame too because it was an Australian species, which are hard to come by) These two cuties are some baby Dolomedes, which are a semi aquatic genus that eat fish.

And finally:


This was my favourite spider I've ever owned. She was a Trigrosa helluo, wich are just a fantastic wolf spider.
