By default, Game Maker Studio stores game sources in OneDrive. OneDrive automatically backs up files to the cloud every time you change something. However, you may find you have thousands of source files in the Backup and Cache folders that don't need to be backed up. If you've ever had problems with OneDrive because of this, here's what to do:
1. Click on the OneDrive icon (the cloud) in your taskbar
2. Click on More and click Settings
3. Make sure you're on the Account tab
4. Click on the Choose Folders button
5. Navigate to Documents and then GameMaker
6. Uncheck the Backups and Cache folders
I'm not sure if anyone else has found this annoying, but I found this to be helpful.
