It's easy in Hello Mario Engine 6 Fan-Made, and it looks like there might be a similar way to do it in Hello Mario Engine for Game Maker Studio, but i don't know it.

Wasn't this a built-in feature in GMS? Pretty sure you can set the horizontal speed for a background and it should do what you ask.

I think what I'm trying to do is called Parallax Scrolling? I don't really know what it's called, but I do know what it looks like.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure if you tinker with the horizontal speeds in a background's settings you can make them scroll faster.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm pretty sure if you tinker with the horizontal speeds in a background's settings you can make them scroll faster.

What I'm trying to do is make the backgrounds scroll with the camera, but at a slower speed. Right now the backgrounds move at the same speed, and not at a slow one. I'm trying to make a level that's somewhat accurate to the All-stars version of SMB1.
